While in Botswana we stayed at the Chobe Safari Lodge. It is a wonderful hotel and so African. I love thatched roofs and you can't beat the view either. Set right on the river and close to the game park it was awesome to stay there. Kaden's favorite part of our WHOLE African trip was staying at this hotel and having the monkeys and baboons come by every morning and climb on our porch. It was fun to wake them up in the morning and see them run to the window to see the monkeys hanging out on our balcony. So much fun! How much more African can you get.... besides them opening your door and getting into all your stuff. That would be more African but not quite as fun as just watching them.We had a great time at the hotel and Oma even was brave and took the boys to the pool for a swim but after their lips turned blue and they started shivering, they decided to not swim anymore. For my boys to EVER want to get out of water, makes me think it was VERY COLD!!

Watching the river, elephants, hippos and birds are everywhere
What a view!
Some Hotel visitors, I must say the hotel did have some nice grass.
BIG Warthog!
Our daily visitors
OK not the best picture of Kaden but I like that you can see the monkey too!
If a picture could make a sound you would hear a high pitch squeal right here!
