Long LONG LONGGGGGG TRIP

Galena to Fairbanks to Seattle to LA to Miami to Atlanta to London to Lusaka.
34 Hours of Flight time
4 days of travel
7 plane changes
11 time zones crosses
2 hemispheres
5 states
3 countries
30,000 feet in Altitude change
 64 degrees change in Temperature

From the Arctic to the Tropics
All of this is just the ONE WAY from Galena to Lusaka. Thankfully we had a week to recover in Miami but it is still a long trip. On the way back to Alaska we did it all together. No wonder I was so jet-lagged and tired! Anyways, our trip home(Zambia) was long but I must say it was the best feeling when we landed in Lusaka and the stewardess said "Welcome to Lusaka"!! The kids traveled great! Thankfully a lot of our flights were overnight trips and so they slept. Just waking them up every 4 hours on the short flights was hard. But they really did great. Keith and I were so glad Mom and Dad were available to watch the kids when we arrived in Zambia because we were so tired! Oma even woke up with Kaden and played cards with him at 3 am the first night because he was wide awake. They played cards for a while and then he got tired again so Oma put him back in bed and he slept the rest of the night. Here are some pictures of our trip!

8 hour layover in London. Thankfully we got some of the comfy couches and the boys and I discovered the play area in the airport. We watched a lot of movies on our Ipods

The Airbus.... This is the Biggest passenger Plane I have ever seen. Double Decker. HUGE!!!

Before & After

Have you ever taken a picture and then take the same picture every year or every 5 years. Well When we lived in Florida we did that. We took a picture in the same spot at Downtown Disney. The Picture spot is tuck in a corner near Winnie the Pooh's store and I think it is adorable! I mean who doesn't LOVE Tigger, Pooh and Piglet? If you don't, I don't know how we have been friends! I love them all. They all kind of remind me of me, Tigger is hyper and bouncy, Pooh loves Honey and Piglet is Pink. Anyways. This time we returned to Pooh's neck of the woods to get a picture and now I have one to compare it to. Here are the Before and After shots. I think they are so CUTE!! LOVE IT!

Disney

We got to spend one day at Disney's Magic Kingdom while in Florida. It was so much fun and we enjoyed spending the day with Keith's parents. Kaden was super excited to go since when we told him we were going to be in Florida he kept telling me "Mommy, I really hope we can go to Disney" We didn't tell him we were going there until we were getting to the gate. With him being 4 and being bigger then the last time we went when he was 2 he enjoyed it a lot more. It was Great FUN!!!!!!

Let's Build Something Together

One nice warm(hot) day in Florida, we met Mike and Suzanne Holst and their kids at LEGOland. I am not sure who had more fun the 3 Kids or the 2 BIG Boys that drove us there. It was a fun day at a cool park. Made my head spin with all the things made with LEGO's. EVERYTHING there was!...thus the name LEGOland. hehehe It was a lot of fun with ride for the kids and big kids and so many details tucked into all the nooks and crannies. Keith and Mike bought all the little figures that you can and traded them all over the park. Suzanne and I would just role our eyes and laugh because they said they were buying them for the kids.... Yeah we know how that goes! Thanks for a great day Holst Family!!
