Fireweed Jelly
Since living here I have been learning what things from nature you can use to make various things. You can make birch syrup and baskets out of the bark from the birch tree, though I haven't taken on the venture yet. But this last week our friend Jason Harris and I tried our hand at making Fireweed Jelly. I always thought making jelly would be a ALL day thing and so I have always been one to not really want to make any. But Jason convinced me that it was quite easy, so we decided to try our hand at it. After picking flower petals for HOURS we made a AWESOME batch of Fireweed Jelly. It tasted Delicious!!
