I love going to listen to Orchestras and concerts with Orchestras in them. I just love how beautiful music can be with all the instruments combined. Flutes are one of my favorite to listen to. So I am excited about today's gifts. Eleven people playing some sort of pipe would be a pretty sound I would think. Kind of reminds me of the story of the Pied Piper where everyone wants to hear the music so they follow the piper. I would probably follow too, since I would love to hear what they sound like. Today the eleven pipers symbolize the 11 faithful apostles. They are found in Luke 6:14-16 There were 12 but they do not count Judas as faithful since he betrayed Jesus. So the other 11 were faithful, did their job, went out, told people about Jesus even to the point of death to themselves. And because of their faithfulness the world is being reach for Christ. Their work is still being carried on by missionaries that follow in their footsteps. What a great testimony to their faithfulness!
