Glisteny and a beauitful sunrise.

For 4 days I have been under the weather and pretty much sleeping in my bed or conked out on the couch. The only time I really got up was to switch locations. It was not a pleasant week. There should be a rule that Mommies are not allowed to get sick and every germ must follow that rule. I find that when mommy is sick, the house falls apart, the laundry doesn't get done, bread doesn't get baked and my boy seem extra whiny. I am so thankful for Keith and him having a job that allowed him to stay home on the day that I was the sickest. He held down the fort and I woke up the next morning to a kitchen that was dish free! This always makes me happy considering I HATE to do dishes. He also cooked all the meals and kept the boys from getting into to much trouble. Today is the first day this week that I have had any energy to catch up with all the things that didn't get done. But today is a Beautiful day. For the last week we have had warmer temps and snow, snow snow and more snow. Which is a good thing. Keith can drive his snow machine to work, which lets me not have to do a lot of driving.(Since our town is SOOO BIG, 2 miles to Keith's work) But it is nice not to have to brave the snowy roads in a truck that has no 4X4. Driving becomes more of a slip and slide to school. It is rather fun as long as long as there is a snow bank and running off the road is not likely to happen. The fresh snow is so pretty, clean and glistening. Glistening~ To shine by reflection with a sparkling luster or the Tabby definition being ~that sparkly, shiny appearance of diamonds in the Snow. Glistening snow is the prettiest! I love driving when the sun catches the shine of the snow flakes. It makes me feel like I live in a land of Glitter. I love that part of the song that says "Sleigh bells ring are you listening, in the lane snow is glistening." This week since it was a constant snowfall the sun was blocked out so not much glistened unless you drove by a streetlight. But today the sun decided to show itself, and peeked in my living room window around 1 pm.... yes 1 pm. But it is beautiful. Technically it rises around 10:50 am and sets around 2:40. Leaving only about 3 hours and 48 minutes to see it. Since we live among a lot of trees, the sun has to get a bit higher to reach our second story window. I am soaking up as much as I can and I am enjoying looking out and watching it glisten on the fresh snow. What a nice day to wake up and enjoy. I just wish the temperature that started this morning at 4 degrees didn't drop down to -20 which it is now.  There won't be any walking in a Winter wonderland today. I will just enjoy the pretty day from the warmth of my home and just watch the glistening snow from my window. It is SO PRETTY!

Have a very Glistening day!
