Mission Trip to Ruby

Our church here in Galena is a small church but it is FULL of loving, giving, and mission minded people. We are about 60 people that have received so many blessings of other churches that it is so nice to be able to reach out and help churches that are in villages around Galena. This last Saturday, Keith got to be part of a small team of 4 guys that flew to the village of Ruby up river. Flying or by boat is the only way to reach Ruby so Keith flew with Josh, the aviation teacher here at the boarding school, Brad a missionary stationed here in Galena, and Misha a student that was available to go help. They set out Saturday morning in the plane that the mission organization SEND provides Josh to fly for the missionaries here. They flew to Ruby to help paint some wood planks that the Ruby Bible Church will be using to renovate their church. Since Ruby doesn't have a pastor yet, our church has also been taking a few people up once a month to join their members in worship. As I said this has been great to be able to reach out to other churches in the area. Keith was excited to be apart of the Saturday mission trip to Ruby. Here are some of the pictures he took on the flight up and of their work. I think they are really neat and hope you enjoy seeing them too.

roller coasters on airplanes and how Keith reacts to them! I don't know who laughs more, Misha telling it, or us laughing at Misha telling the story. I guess Keith doesn't like doing roller coasters in airplanes!=)
