Uncle Mark also took us exploring downtown Dallas. We had a blast driving up and down the roads looking at all the cool sky scrapers and odd shaped buildings. We even saw them at night and if you want to see some COOL lights go to the Omni Hotel and the Reunion Tower at night! the Light shows are awesome! I don't know how anyone staying there could sleep with all that light going on outside but it would be awesome to try! We also drove around the area where Kennedy was assassinated. Learned a lot about history driving through Dallas.
Uncle Mark also took us to El Fenix, one of the BEST Tex-Mex food restaurants ever! This is the home of the enchiladas. Yes, authentic Mexican food does not include enchiladas. It was developed in Texas at El Fenix long ago and they are still serving up the deliciousness! WOW if you are ever in Dallas, Try it! Their chips and salsa and Fire Roasted Queso are fabulous too! The atmosphere is great for the experience too!
Here are some of our adventures with Uncle Mark in the Big D!
Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge
(I don't know who she is but the bridge is really cool and we drove across it a few times!)
Pretty Sky line
A really old log cabin, supposedly owned buy the founder of Dallas
This building was pretty
The Majestic Theater
A really cool fruit Market that we went to!
We have named this the Gingerbread house but it really is the old court house that they have now called the Old Red Museum I kind of prefer the Gingerbread House
It really is a beautiful building
Kaden took this picture of Pegasus the red horse that "flies" above the city!
We drove around forever looking up to find a picture opportunity and Kaden got it!
