Painting With A BIG Twist!

One Friday night, Renee and I got to go out for a Ladies night out. Uncle Jesse was brave and watched the kids. All 4 of them! I had a bad migraine during the day and woke up hoping to be able to go to the Ladies night. It was kind of touch and go getting there, since the headache made me so sick that Renee had to pull over on the road so I could throw up.... She was not so sure I was going to make it, and honestly I didn't think I was going to either. We had Jesse on speed dial in case he needed to come pick me up. But after we arrived, I sat outside in the fresh air for a while to try and clear out the headache. Thankfully, the light was not bothering me as much as it was earlier in the day, when all I wanted to do was sleep in a completely dark room. I was really wanting to feel better, because I had heard of this cool painting place from a lot of my friends.
 Painting with a Twist.
Even though Renee and I don't drink, the place is known for you bring your friends, bring your wine and learn to paint. It really was a fun event! Maybe the paint fumes helped me because by the end of the night, I was feeling a bit better. There were about 5 ladies from Renee's Sunday school group. We were grouped together and were suppose to be painting a willowy tree with stars..... I didn't think they looked like stars since they were just circles. I thought it looked more like fruit and snowflakes. The teacher said to be creative, so instead of the skinny willow tree that was SUPPOSE to be painted I decided to paint something that would go along with my decor. A Baobab tree fits more my style. So I chalked it out on my painting and started at it. I liked it A LOT better then the willow tree. It was fun! There were a lot of laughs since the teacher kept saying "If you don't like it up close step back and you will see it differently and like it" You could hear people around the room saying "I don't like it from way back here either!" Made me laugh! By the end of the night, some groups had turned on their ipods with music and it kind of began a Karaoke style of painting. Let's just say the wine started going to some of the ladies heads! Renee and I just giggled and kept painting.

Got my back ground done
 Renee got hers done too!

Our groups finished master pieces!
I was a bit worried about trying to get it to Alaska! it is not the smallest painting. But I got it here with no damage to it and it is now hanging in my dining room. I really enjoyed painting it! Thanks Renee for inviting me out! Thanks Jesse for babysitting my kids!
