Amphibian Walk

So I am months behind on posting our adventures, mostly because we have been SUPER busy! Lots of visitors and lots of trips and lots of adventures. Which honestly that is what makes life fun, adventures! At the end of May, Keith was in West Virginia for training, but the boys and I got to participate in the Amphibian Walk at the refuge. The first night is was rained out but the reschedule was perfect. Warm, no bugs and LOTS of excited people! We went out at night which is when the amphibians are active and found so many frogs and 3 Salamander/Newts. We learned so much about the local wildlife. My boys had a great time, I mean who doesn't love hiking in the woods at night and wading in ponds looking for Frogs? I love that we can participate in activities like this and teach our boys about the world that God created!

Here you see all the kids exploring around a Vernal pool looking for Salamanders
