Part 2: Ferry Journey

We spent 4 days on the ferry from Haines Alaska to Bellingham Washington. It was AWESOME! The weather was awesome. Sunny and smooth the whole way. And when i say smooth I mean like glass. I didn't get seasick once and Kaden didn't either! And that is saying something! The staff said that was the smoothest they had ever had it too. I know it was God keeping the sea smooth because I would have been sick as a dog if it wasn't. it took me a week after getting off the boat to not feel like I was swaying with the boat. But it was a wonderful trip. We got to see all kinds of animals: deer, humpback whales, killer whales, dolphins, seals, sea otters, sea lions, and many many different birds. The boys had a blast and Kaden still raves about the excellent food on the boat. Thankfully we had a cabin with beds and a small sitting room so we could rest well and relax. But we spent most of our time on the observation deck looking for animals and enjoying the amazing views. The boys enjoyed playing Ipods(which they don't play to often at home) I figured it was a way to keep them quiet and also something enjoyable to them. Many people we met commented on how well the boys behaved on the ship, for which I am so grateful! They did so well! We didn't get to stop at many ports like was planned due to different problems but we did enjoy the scenery.

Here are some of the things we saw on our trip. These pictures were taken with my Ipad, When Keith processes his from his big camera I will add some of those too. He got the whales and birds with his camera.
Our hall had this cool seal of Alaska. Pretty neat!

The cruise ship made ours seem really small but the cruise ship didn't get to up the inner passage like we did!
 Beautiful  sunset
A little rain and some sun made some awesome rainbows
If only pictures could do justice!
Sitka! I have been here.... well at least to the port!
Got stuck here for a evening due to dense fog but this is a beautiful sight to wake up to!
We got to get off for an hour in Ketchikan. Thankfully our friend Jason Joel works here and gave us a very quick tour of the town and we got to go to a awesome Totem Pole Park! Thanks Jason!
