Long LONG LONGGGGGG TRIP

Galena to Fairbanks to Seattle to LA to Miami to Atlanta to London to Lusaka.
34 Hours of Flight time
4 days of travel
7 plane changes
11 time zones crosses
2 hemispheres
5 states
3 countries
30,000 feet in Altitude change
 64 degrees change in Temperature

From the Arctic to the Tropics
All of this is just the ONE WAY from Galena to Lusaka. Thankfully we had a week to recover in Miami but it is still a long trip. On the way back to Alaska we did it all together. No wonder I was so jet-lagged and tired! Anyways, our trip home(Zambia) was long but I must say it was the best feeling when we landed in Lusaka and the stewardess said "Welcome to Lusaka"!! The kids traveled great! Thankfully a lot of our flights were overnight trips and so they slept. Just waking them up every 4 hours on the short flights was hard. But they really did great. Keith and I were so glad Mom and Dad were available to watch the kids when we arrived in Zambia because we were so tired! Oma even woke up with Kaden and played cards with him at 3 am the first night because he was wide awake. They played cards for a while and then he got tired again so Oma put him back in bed and he slept the rest of the night. Here are some pictures of our trip!

8 hour layover in London. Thankfully we got some of the comfy couches and the boys and I discovered the play area in the airport. We watched a lot of movies on our Ipods

 Big Planes
The Airbus.... This is the Biggest passenger Plane I have ever seen. Double Decker. HUGE!!!
He's just about had enough of traveling!
Most comforting site to see at 6 am in the morning! The Lusaka airport!
 Finally off that thing!
Greeting people that were at the airport! So good to see everyone!
Lechwe Statues.... they have been there FOREVER!
Our wheels for our duration in Zambia
