Have a Nice trip? See you next FALL!
The last week has been a bit trying for both Keith and I. Last Sunday while taking a load of laundry down to the laundry room, I missed the last 3 steps and fell to the floor. It was very painful and Keith called our neighbor Tim, and he ran over to help. Tim called the Doctor and she came to take a look at them and took me to the clinic to get X-rays. Thankfully it was only 2 very badly sprained ankles and not 2 broken ankles. But it has been a trying week since. Keith stayed home with me for two days since I was not able to walk. I actually crawled to my bed a few times because I could not use crutches because of the pain. Keith was a trooper and did all the laundry, baked a few loaves of bread and all the dishes and kept up with both kids. After 2 days he was ready to return to work. Lets say he appreciated how much house work I do during the week. I told him he was lucky that was only my Monday and Tuesday lists. It was sweet of him to help out as much as possible. By Wednesday I was able to move around a little and the kids and I just stayed in the living room all day and played on the floor since holding a baby and walking with crutches doesn't work to well. Keith and I are so blessed with great friends and neighbors that are so caring to us. Some friends provided dinner for us for 2 nights so Keith didn't have to add cooking to his list of chores to do. THANK YOU FRIENDS!!! WE LOVE YOU!! I have recovered pretty well, I am still walking with crutches when I leave the house since walking in snow and on ice is a little unsteady but around the house I am doing well with just my braces on my feet. I have to wear ankle braces for a few more weeks but Thank the Lord for protection from any breaks. I am thankful for actually having a laundry basket in my hand just because I could have had Isaiah or I could have hit my head on the door down at the bottom of the stairs. The week has been long but I am truly thankful for a wonderful husband, friends and neighbors!
