SURPRISE!!!

Though most of us were together, Mom kept bringing up the fact that Keith was not with us and it was a bummer that he couldn't be with us for a little while before his meeting. We have been hearing this sad story since I had gotten my ticket. A story of how Mom didn't have a family picture of all her kids and how we have not been all together since the year Keith and I got married. Mom and Dad were gone a few years, Jesse was in Iraq then Keith was in Alaska, so every time we got together someone was always missing. Well on Friday night, Jesse had announced that he needed to go pick up a guy at the airport. His job as a Air Force Chaplain is to greet our military people at the airport. He had been greeting a few people earlier that week so when he said that to Mom and Dad they were ok with that. Well he dressed in shorts and a T-Shirt and asked Dad if he wanted to go to the airport to meet the guy with him. So they left. When they got to the airport they were waiting for the airplane to get there since is was delayed because of the Arctic Blast. That Blast messed up a lot of peoples travel. But when the plane landed they were at the exit as the plane was unloading and Jesse announced to Dad "Oh there is the guy I have to meet." Dad looked up and said "That guy looks like Keith" Good because it was! We had all planned to have Keith arrive and surprise Mom and Dad so that we could get everyone together and get Mom and family picture. Mom was still at home with Renee and I and the kids and we were waiting patiently to hear the garage door open to inform Mom that her Christmas present was here. When we heard it I called mom out of the room she was in to see something and she walked out to Keith being there. It was AWESOME to surprise her!

Jesse, Renee, Keith and I had been working on this surprise for a long time and it was nice that we had kept it a secret for so long. We had not told anyone or posted anything on Facebook in fear that the secret would be let out. But it all worked out. We got to get our family picture done and eat Mexican food and Bar-B-Que together. So worth the wait!
