Family Time!

Many of you probably notice that there were no posts in January and February, that is because we were all out during February. Keith had a training in West Virginia, so while he was in training he let Kaden, Isaiah and I go to visit my family in Texas. Since my brother and his wife had a baby boy the week before Isaiah was born there were introductions to be made. My parents and I met in the middle, which turned out to be in Texas. I laugh at that because the amount of time and money that is cost me and the boys to fly from Galena turned out to be about the same as it cost Mom and Dad from Zambia.

The boys and I left Galena at a temperature of -14 degrees, after 4 airports, and 3700 miles we arrived in Houston with a ARCTIC BLAST!! Yeah I was hoping for some warmth and sunshine and I get to Houston and it was 22 degrees with Snow in the forecast! I think Kaden, Isaiah and I were the only ones that were used to it! hahaha Anyways Mom and Dad arrived shortly after us and my grandparents and some friends from 1st Baptist Church of Lake Jackson were there to pick us up. The boys had traveled great but I was exhausted and ready for some sleep.

The next few days we traveled to my brothers house in San Antonio. It was a great time traveling with Mom and Dad. Mom played a lot of games with Kaden and I to keep him entertained. These games reminded me of many trips we took as children and Mom trying to keep us entertained. We got to Jesse's house and it was a great to get everyone together.

The next day we got SNOW!! Here I was wishing for warmth and sunshine and Mom is praying to see snow. Well we got some... and with the word some I mean a light dusting. But it was snow none the less and Eliana was so excited to get to go out and play with it. Mom, Kaden, Eliana Jesse and I all got ready to go out and the minute we walk outside Kaden gets a very puzzled look on his face and asks "Mommy where is the Snow?" I am guessing he was expecting to have feet and feet of snow like at home. He was very disappointed. But Eliana started to have a small snowball fight with everyone so he quickly joined in. We even scraped enough snow together to make a snow duck.... about 2 inches tall.hahaha It was a lot of fun though.
As I said it was a light dusting
Kaden trying to get enough together to make a ball
Mom enjoying the snow!
Our very small Snow duck!
