Cranberry Picking

Well after telling Kaden not to eat the berries till they were dark red, it is now time to pick them! We were all excited to be able to go out and pick berries that we have been waiting for all summer. Our yard is full of the low bush cranberries and I have heard from many people in town our yard is the best area to pick berries. We started picking this weekend when the weather started getting cool. The leaves are falling so it is making it tricky to find them so I went out with Kaden for 2 days to pick a bunch so we could beat the leaves falling and covering them. The seasons change fast around here so I figured we better get to them fast. So far we got about 6 pounds of berries. If Kaden would have picked berries and add them to the bucket we would probably have about 8 pounds but he enjoyed eating all the ones he could. Oh well it was fun! Kaden can't wait for me to make muffins and pie with all the berries picked=)=)
