In November the snow starts to fly
piling up, ankle high.
In December it's up to your knees
still a bride's a bride to be
January, higher still
to the parlor windowsill
February finds a drift
and the storms seem never to lift
March comes in like a Lion what else?
Still the snow never melts
April showers will come so they say
but they don't and it's May
You're about to forget the whole thing
All at once, one day, it's spring
piling up, ankle high.
In December it's up to your knees
still a bride's a bride to be
January, higher still
to the parlor windowsill
February finds a drift
and the storms seem never to lift
March comes in like a Lion what else?
Still the snow never melts
April showers will come so they say
but they don't and it's May
You're about to forget the whole thing
All at once, one day, it's spring
Well for the past week it has snowed everyday. Saturday we even had a "Blizzard" like conditions I guess. Since I have only seen a blizzard when my family got stranded in Lubbock Texas when I was young, I would not say I am an expert on these conditions. Unlike Lubbock where the tumble weeds become the biggest snowballs you have ever seen and can wipe you off the road when they hit your car, the snow here just blew and blew. The trees seem to keep the wind from blowing really hard but man it sounded like a train running through the trees. It was fun to watch the snow fall from inside our house.
Kaden is loving the snow. He eats as much as he can when he goes outside. On Sunday Keith and I had the all out Snowball fight since the snow is just right because before our snow was so dry it would never stick together, but now the temperature is warm enough that it makes the snow stick together really well. I am sure people driving by thought we were NUTS playing out in the snow throwing snowballs at each other. But we had a good time while Kaden just sat and ate the snow. It was fun to be outside for a while till it began to snow again.
It is still snowing today which is Wednesday and I must say I am ready for the snow to lift and see some flowers pop out but since it is apparently not yet time for that I will watch the snow and be stuck in the scene from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers for a little while longer. Maybe I will have to watch it just to get excited about the Spring Spring Spring song.
Here are some pictures of our "Blizzard".
I love that movie! but don't remember that song. but do like the "going courting" song :)
