Saturday we had a fun day at the Galena Airport. The Civil Air Patrol put on a fun airplane show. We got to go out and see some cool planes and eat some hamburgers and Hot dogs. Who can beat that in Galena. I didn't have to cook and we got to eat real burgers! YES! IT was exciting!! .The weather was warm even though I had a big coat on. I was definitely over dressed since it was in the 40's I was burning up so I guess it is time to hang up the parka and get out my lighter jackets

Kaden loved seeing the airplanes but like all the other kids he was fascinated with the ginormous water puddle. By the time we got home he was soaking wet but he had a good time. You know it is warming up when there are puddles around for children to run through.

This is a remaining painted wall of one of the hangers in the old Air Force Base. Galena was a base set up to watch the Russians and intercept other planes that were not suppose to fly of USA soil.
