Sorry for the delay in Posting but it has been busy for the last few weeks.
My Mom and Dad were able to come visit us in Galena for more then a week and that was so much fun! We had a fun time with them and showed them everything that was going on in Galena. They arrived with their luggage full of Veggies, Fruits, Sour Cream and all the other goodies we needed to stock up on. Good thing they didn't mind shopping with Ms. Suzanne in Anchorage before they got on the plane. Thanks Suzanne!!! We appreciate fresh supplies when we can get them. Dad brought us some other things not on our list but man they were delicious. Cherries, Oranges, Grapes Apples and Fresh Tamales!!! YUM YUM YUM! Between Kaden Keith and I they didn't last long. hahaha.
Here is Mom and Dad getting off the plane in Galena. It is fun to be able to walk out to the airplane to greet them.

On the day they got here, there was so much going on in Galena. We had the Yukon 800 which is a boat race that runs from Fairbanks to Galena and back to Fairbanks. It was fun to go watch the boats arrive. The boats are very small and light that I can't believe they don't crash by hitting debris in the water. I am even more surprised that 3 men can fit in these small boats.

On Sunday Dad and Mom shared about Africa in Church and it was fun to see all the pictures that they had. Of course we took our camera to church with us but neither Keith or I took any pictures of Mom and Dad speaking. So for the Next Sunday I will post the other pictures we took.
Another thing that Mom and Dad got to experience for the first time with us was the Summer Solstice. They got to spend the Longest day of Light in Alaska. On that day it is kind of a tradition to have a picnic by the Yukon river. It was a lovely time with friends.

Kaden got too close to the water and so Oma eventually let him just go into it and swim. He LOVED IT!!

Dad by the river

I love this Picture!

After the Picnic by the river we took Mom and Dad up the road to our local "Mall" aka the Dump. The Dump almost always guarantees you a bear sighting there. We actually got to see 2 and then we got to see what happens when one bear is bigger then the other bear. A grand Chase occurred at this dump!

Mom taught Kaden the Song "The Bear went Over the Mountain" And now he sings it allllllllll the time and Keith and I really wish we knew what he sees on the other side.

A Moose on the drive.
